He is writing a follow up book but unfortunately all the works are down at their holiday home on the Costa del Sol and he hasn't been able to get down there since February last year!!!
Paul Brougham, John Ibbotson, me, Peter Pratt, David Stephenson, Simon Hartley all retired former P&O Princess/Cunard Pursers/Hotel General Managers/Passenger Service Directors.
Wow! A lot of familiar names and faces. But which year? I remember flying down from Los Angeles to Acapulco with Steve Mortona-Smith to evaluate Mexican crew manning recruitment and a proposed investment in the Acapulco college for hotel training. As the school had very basic facilities and learning was in Spanish with little English input; that even the hotels did not recruit their staff from the school preferring to train 'in house'.....I think the report squashed this enthusiasm from P&O's Personnel Director. Moreso having reported on Mexican crew attributes that were serving in 'Royal Princess' after a visit to that ship.
Peter was around when I was but never met him. Did read his book, which was like a story of my life.
Peter Pratt was around when God was created, John after you and Simon started in 1985.
